Portable Neuron
A provider-neutral portability and packaging concept for reusable agent knowledge and behavior, centered on a human-reviewed NEURON.md interoperability profile and optional thin host adapters.
What the private build is exploring.
Customer-neutral framing only. This description does not establish deployment, adoption, or results.
Before the pattern
Reusable agent knowledge and behavior can become coupled to one provider, host, packaging format, or runtime, making review, transfer, and controlled reuse difficult.
What is being delivered
The private concept defines a provider-neutral package boundary with human-reviewed NEURON.md as the interoperability profile and optional thin adapters that translate the reviewed profile into host-specific integration points.
Value hypothesis
The design is intended to make reusable agent knowledge and behavior easier to inspect, move, adapt, and govern without claiming universal compatibility or hiding host-specific constraints.
Evidence label: Designed value: a human-reviewed interoperability profile and thin-adapter pattern for more portable, inspectable, and governable agent knowledge and behavior.
A high-level public-safe pattern.
Reusable agent knowledge moves through human review of a NEURON.md interoperability profile into a portable core and optional thin host adapter.
A bounded set of agent knowledge and behavior is selected for portable packaging.
A person reviews the interoperability profile, boundaries, provenance, and intended behavior.
Provider-neutral content remains separate from host-specific integration.
An optional adapter translates the reviewed profile into a specific host without redefining the portable core.
What the concept is designed to support.
- Describes reusable agent knowledge and behavior in a provider-neutral package concept.
- Uses human-reviewed NEURON.md as the interoperability profile.
- Keeps host-specific behavior in optional thin adapters rather than the portable core.
- Separates package review and rights clearance from installation or execution.
- NEURON.md is human-reviewed before portability or installation decisions.
- Host adapters remain thin, explicit, and separately reviewable.
- Rights, licensing, provenance, and compatibility clearance precede any source or package publication.
- Information-only concept; source, binaries, archives, package contents, dependency metadata, repository links, and operational materials are not published pending rights and licensing clearance.
- This private active build is not publicly licensed or production-ready. It is not a Microsoft product or an officially supported offering.
- Provider-neutral design does not guarantee compatibility with every agent host or runtime.
- No public evidence establishes adoption, portability success, production use, savings, or customer outcomes.
